HDV Broadcasting with Windows Media Encoder and FX1, possible?

If I connect my FX1 in DV Mode it is recognized as Sony DV Cam and I can use the camera in several application to capture video directly. (without tape). I use my camera for broadcasting live events into the Internet with the Windows Media Encoder and a streaming Server. In Sony DV Mode it works like a charm as on my XM2 (Canon DV). Is there a chance that I can do that in HDV Mode too? So that I get a findable cam in Windows Media Encoder because now I only see an AV/C Device which can't be opened by WME. Goal is to broadcast live with the Windows media Encoder in 960x540.

any ideas anybody.

Thanks
Frank

I don't know of any software available for doing that yet. You'd also need some pretty potent processing power to do it.

I think Wirecast can do this.

I believe Newteks upcoming VT5 or the tricaster pro (next version) will allow HDV switching/broadcast. I remember my dealer telling something about that. (Of course he was yacking about it while I was demoing his Pany HVX200, so I wasn't paying much attention : ) But head over to Newtek's forum and do a search. I do remember he plainly saying it would be cheaper to purchase a tricaster for HDV switching, than a dedicated HD switcher.

Both the VT (I have a VT3) and Tricaster use the MS Media encoder to push a live web feed. Granted it's up to your processors. If you don't have at least a dual xeon 3GHz...
