Anyone from Washington DC and know.....

Anyone from Washington DC and know of a store in DC that might carry a demo of the Z1-U?

New York is a little far for me to go to 'put my hands on' one, so I didn't know if there was anywhere in DC I could demo one.

Thanks in advance. I looked in the Superpages.com, no success so far in finding a store.

Greetings Steven,

Here are a couple of "shots in the dark."

The first is a rental company out of downtown. The next is a reseller that had offices in Richmond, but has now relocated to the D.C. area.

Visibility, Inc., Tel: (804) 897-4261 may have one as well.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Tim.

Hehe, well, strike one, strike two and strike three.

But thanks Tim, I'll keep looking, but at this point, I am becoming aware that I might end up having to buy prior to trying.

You might want to try VER. I have been trying to locate rental houses in the MD/DC area and they are one I've found that carries the Z1. I haven't been there, but it is listed on the website.

Add DC-Camera to the list of potential places to check out the Z1U. They seem to have a reasonable rental rate if you wanted to get hands on for a day.
Once again, I have not had experience with them and just thought I'd share the link.

I'm hoping to check out some of these places myself as I'll be needing a 2nd camera for my wedding in June and I'm still debating whether its worth renting or buying. Hope this helps.

rented one from DC camera last year. Looks like their price has gone up a little.
Steven....if you have any interest in looking at an FX1...I'm in Fredericksburg. I've got some free time next week...
