Another simple FX1 edit query

When I capture FX1 footage - shot in DV - a picture is shown on the DVRaptor or Adobe capture screen and also on an external monitor via the A/V out from the camcorder. But when I move the captured files to the Prem 6.5 timeline altho pictures come up in the Source and Program windows they are not being additionally output via firewire and the A/V lead to the external monitor. This only happens with the FX1 - not with the A1 for example. So why is there no picture on the external monitor when editing ? What am I doing wrong ?
