FX-1 footage

Hi,

I'm thinking about what camera to get. Just wondering if anyone has any FX-1 footage? I know there is a big divide between who prefers the FX-1 and DVX100, but it would be great if anyone has any real footage to view.

thanks :)

I have some stills from my film at full res - www.inasinglemoment.com

http://www.vasst.com/HDV/FX-1_images.htm has some footage, you will need VLC player or similar to play the m2t files.

Do a search on this forum, I'm sure I have seen a bit here before. If you head over to www.sonyhdvinfo.com , they have a footage thread.

thanks for that, I have done a search of the forum, just a bunch of dead links. There is no footage thread in the sony forum.

I am looking to compare good FX-1 footage with good DVX footage.

If anyone knows of anything that'd be great. Thanks

Matt:

Have three pieces of footage I pulled from various projects. First is a rendered slow motion row boat scene. Second scene is demonstrating programed shot transition, in this case focus transitions from far to close.

Third is scene shot at an air show.

Here is location: http://www.makeyourfilm.net/downloads/FX1shots.m2t

Right click to download and play on the VLC media player.

Followup: For some reason, I am not getting access to this from my service provider. Anybody else try to download ?

i've shot lots of FX-1 footage, but this is the only footage i have posted online from that camera. it was shot the first weekend i owned the camera, so every setting is out-of-the-box. this is a phenomenal camera, for the price....and a pleasure to operate. i prefer it to the XL-2 that i own, but there are certain applications in which the XL-2 outstrips the FX-1. i don't own a DVX100, but this is a bit of a coin toss, trying to decide between an XL-2 and the FX-1. they are both great for certain applications.

FX-1: ergonomically my favorite
most awesome macro camera around, for the price
rich 1080i detail
beautiful colors
best landscapes, hands down
future-proofing footage in HDV

XL2: progressive modes!!!!!!!!!!
best image control
interchangeable lens mount
20x lens is invaluable to me

i know this isn't an FX-1/DVX comparison, but it's what i got....good luck
