Will this battery work?
 
My friend gave me a SONY lithium batter - NP-F750. A nice big one, better than the one I have ,but I don't want to chance it on the FX1 - how do I know if it will be ok with it?

From what I see on the internet, both the 750 and the 770 (recommended by Sony as replacement battery) are L-series batteries, so it should work. A call to Sony would be the best...

You can not possibly damage your camera with it. If the battery is old/defective, you would know by trying to power your camera.

WEll, I want to charge it up as well - it is dead, but maybe I will call Sony on it after the long weekend...thanks for the replies.
