Headphone Issue
 

I am not getting sound through my head phones while plugged into the head phone jack on the camera.....but the wireless mic is showing that it is picking up the audio on the on camera meter. I checked headphones out on other equip and they function correctly and I play a tape back on the camera and the headphones work when listening through the camera. Any ideas as to what is going on? Its probably a simple thing that I am completely looking past and probably going to kick myself. I have the Z1U.

In the audio section of the menu, check the "audio monitor" setting. Perhaps you don't have the right channel enabled for monitoring.

If memory serves, you want the audio monitoring to read ch 1, ch 2....with the comma, not the plus, between them. That puts both channels into the headphones separated into each ear--assuming you have stereo headphones.

Although it is suspicious that you can hear the tape on playback just fine.
