Sony ECM-NV1 mic on FX1

Hi! Is this mic the one they use for the PD150 or 170 compatible with the FX1 assuming that I have the Beachteck XLR Adapter? Do you think this will work?

Thank you.

It should work as long as your Beachtek box provides phantom power. I have used this mike on my Z1 with the built-in XLR's and it worked fine.

Thanks Boyd, the Beachteck im using was designed for the FX1, and it requires a 9 volt battery to use it...is that the phantom power your refering to?

Probably, but look at the specs on their website here to be sure: http://www.beachtek.com/prod.html

Thanks for the link, I have the DXA-FX and it did'nt mention anything about phantom power.

Unfortunately it appears that this adaptor won't do it for you. The NV1 requires phantom power. According to the manual posted online:

Quote:

This adapter is designed to easily attach balanced or unbalanced type microphones to this camcorder (condenser type microphones require their own power as the adapter does not supply phantom power)
