Varizoom Stealth on Z1

Yesterday I digged back the Stealth zoom controller which I had bought for the PDX10 two years ago. And which I never used.

It seems to work on the Z1, but I am not sure about the focus control. Does it work too? I press the lever and nothing happens, so I wonder if it's really operational.

The small zoom bronze lever seems to have a screw on the side. Does it mean you can change that lever?

Can't help with questions about that controller, but you should be aware that the Z1 has a LANC issue. You can't access the full range of zoom speeds, which is really the only major gripe I have about the Z1. See the following: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=55047

Does anyone know about the focus control in the Varizoom?

There's still the matter of whether it will have low speed and all the other operations, like focus control and auto-focus on-off. I am not sure Sony is providing access for that in the Z1.

Yeah, it is really very interesting,
I'm getting one as a part of a crane package, so I'll let you know as soon as I'll get it,
Cheers!

What Camera Crane Package?

What Crane Package are you buying?
I am trying to decide which one I want to get. I want to spend no less than $1000 for the 12 Ft. crane, LANC control, monitor, and cables.
