HVR-Z5 Minimum focus distance

What is the closest I can get to my subject with the lens at its widest? Thanks for the help.

Bill

Make sure the macro function is turned on in the menu setting.

Sorry I wasn't clear with my question. I don't need to know "how" to get the closest shot; I need to know what the actual minimum distance is between the HVR-Z5's focal plane and the subject when the lens is completely zoomed out. How close can I get?

I do not currently own this camcorder, but am considering it for low-light conditions in which I also need to be very close to the subject.

Thank you for the help.

According to the manual, about 1cm at full wide and 80cm for full tele, with macro ON (default).

Thank you, Adam. Exactly what I was looking for. Looks like I may be pulling the trigger on an HVR-Z5U soon! Thanks, again.
