Can the Z5 record from external HDMI device

Should I be able to record from an out put device (PC or blue ray) through a HDMI cable. This would be used to archive straight back to tape from PC without first having to make a new HD file ie straight from the timeline and capture live.

My edit suite has HDMI out to a HD monitor but when connected to the Z5 I see no picture and couldn't find anything in the manual.

The HDMI is out only. Page 130.

Page 100-102 pretty much says the only way to record is via i.Link (FW).

Edit: sorry, page numbers are for US version of the manual; UK pages should be close.
