x v colour
ok, i give up. what is it?
do i need it? if i turn it on will it a. give me better colour?, b. screw up my colours?, c. blow up my new z5? i'm beginning to hate progress... yes, i've tried looking it up - if you know of a good site, please direct me to it.... tia leslie from wiki - xvYCC is not supported by DVD-Video or Blu-ray, but is supported by the high-definition recording format AVCHD and PlayStation 3. so i suppose it's pretty pointless bothering with it at present if my main distrib. is dvd.... |
Information about x.v.Colour technology : Sony
http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Pr...01E/index.html There is no harm in trying it but i think a tv with XV technolagy is needed. |
unfortunately it would seem the only way to really see any difference is
a. connect camera direct to lcd via hdmi b. playstation c. media station playing avchd direct to lcd all 3 being pretty much impractical for commercial distrib. oh well, one day i suppose, by which time we'll probably have moved on to 3d..... |
does anyone actually shoot in xv color???
dale |
I don't think it's practical for most applications yet.
