In the video they mention a wide angle lens that can be used instead of the stock lens that comes with the camera. Does anyone have more info on this? I'm pretty tired of bulky heavy add on wide angle adapters.

Here is the european press release for the HVR-Z7E, which has got some details about the additional wide angle lens, which will be available in summer 2008.

Looks good. Thanks for the link. So I guess this lens will be available some time around the end of the summer, at least in Europe.

I think the 24mm-192mm wideangle lens is scheduled for release in June this year.
