Reviewing clips

I don't have any experience in solid state camcorders but was wondering if you're recording to tape and to the flash card will you be able to review a clip from the flash card (without rewinding the tape)?

Yes,
The CF unit has a firewire port to connect to an HDV gear.
The HDV gear accepts the HDV stream then outputs video signal.
You don't need cabling in case of Z7U and S270U.
