Edited video shot with 2 z7's with letus35 adapter

I know everyone including myself has been on the look out for footage with this camera. So here it is! I hope everyone likes. A little info first! We used two sony z7's with stock configurations. We went with 24p (fake 24p look 60i). One camera had the letus35 adapter with 3 nikon lenses other camera had stock lens on it. Once we arrived at the shoot we decided to shoot very raw to give it that behind the scenes feel. Comments welcome!

Love it! Now what I want to be able to do is have that depth of field with a single lens instead of the add-on approach.

I really like the color intensity. Did you do that in post or have you started messing with the profiles like some of the EX1 users are doing?

David Venturini June 4th, 2008 08:37 PM

Very little post, I used looks in FCP to crush blacks by 3%. I agree I HATE having this huge adapter on the camera. You can see they shot me with the 200 mm on the camera with the adapter. I wish that sony would make it so I can just hook the nikon lens right onto the cam but hey we can all dream. Thanks for the positive review. I will post some more wedding/corporate video soon.

White flash between stills

David, really loved the shallow DOF. what white transition were you using between still photos- additive dissolve?

David Venturini June 4th, 2008 09:03 PM

Thanks, Love that DOF! The effect is called G Film flash. Really nice effect for making believe a camera flash was going off.

You can get it here:

An interesting film, maybe my eyes are getting old but the focus didn't always hit the mark and the vignetting of the lenses is extreme in places.

Love the colour and the mood of the film.
