Hello all. Anyone interested in an EA50 - Body only? Fully functioning and hardly used.

It's something I've considered as a B-cam to my own EA50.

Currently using a GH3 and having to pay someone to cover the ceremony - only sure way around the 30minute record limit!

Do you have a price in mind?

What sort of price you looking for?

Only yesterday a 'as new' EA50 sold on ebay for £1750 with the servo kit lens. Which means if I had bought THAT as a B cam and sold the kit lens for £500 (would of easily went for that considering the normal SEL18200 still go for £400), I would of had a body for £1250 ... bargain of the year if you ask me. That's the price of a VG20/VG30 body.

The only EA50 on ebay that I can see is at £3387. I would be looking for about £2000.

2000 sterling would be about 2350 euro I suppose, depending on exchange rate.

Cvp.com have a new EA50 with lens and warranty for 2700euro ex-vat, so your asking price wouldnt make sense for me.

FS100s seem to be going for about €2300-2600 on eBay these days... I think €2000 would be a bit optimistic for a body only EA50 and £2000 even more so... CVP has them new with lens for £2289+VAT...

Yes, you are probably right, would be willing to sell the body only for £1500 then. Not everyone wants the kit lens so it would be an opportunity for someone to buy a great camera that can be used with a whole variety of lenses, It is only than that you really discover the power of these NEX cameras. The kit lens is fine for outside but next to useless indoors. Just wanted to check on here first before putting it on ebay or TVbay and paying their horrendous charges.

Global Media Pro has the EA-50K model (that's without a lens) for GBP1800.00 brand new so probably 1500 is a better "nearly new" price

Did you buy with the stock lens?? Quite often buyers want a complete camera so it might be easier to sell if you popped a lens on the body and sold it as complete? You could pick up something like a dumb Nikon adapter and then get a 17-55 lens which go for peanuts and you have the option of a complete camera in case no-one is looking for a body only?

It will sell quickly for £1500 on ebay ...

The one I saw selling for £1750 sold within 2-3 days. I was watching it.
