New Sony e-mount lenes?

Any new lenses on the horizon for the EA 50? By Sony or someone else?

While Sony seems to push the E-Mount Field (e.g. the fourthcoming A7 II) they will maybe release
some more lenses in the future.

Wow! That's pricey...almost the price of the camera!!! Pity about the wide range. I really find at weddings that 28mm is never wide enough! I sold my Nikon 28-75 F2.8 as I more often than not ran out of wide angle especially in a Church!! I can see the power zoom would interest you Randy .... I PZ lens that was 18-135 and F2.8 constant would be far nicer of course but imagine what that price would come out at!

I'm still happy using manual lenses and rarely have a focus issue and if I did it would be my fault. I found the 18-200 even at 18mm used to hunt when I did guest interviews which are fast and furious shoots from one couple to another. For those I put on a Tamron 10-24 and lock the focus at 2.5' and at 10mm you are in focus from 2' to infinity at F3.5 so as long as you don't have guests trying to stick their nose into the lens hood it's always in focus so I can do a point and shoot run.

That would be a great lens allround lens on a a7s where you just crank up the iso to compensate for the slower f-stop but for any other camera f4.0 will be problematic in darker venues.

I have used both a FS100 and a FS700 and F4 is just fine on them
even in darker locations. Once you start getting up to EA50 territory
with 16 megapixels on an APSC chip then it's not quite as good in low
light.
