why is quality reduced in smooth slow recording?

Hello everyone,

I know this was briefly brought up before across the forum, but why is it that when recording in the smooth slow function reduce the overall quality of the footage? The footage does not look nearly as good as it does in regular recording modes. Is there any work arounds for this?

Thanks in advance!

The camera will always shoot slow motion at 120fps in 60i. The shortest the shot, the better the quality, shoot only 3 seconds for the highest quality, it won't be delivering the best this camera can shoot, but it's an acceptable quality. I recomend a deinterlace filter to match your 60i slow motion shot with 24p or 30p.
