I have a friend coming back to the UK from New York, I was trying to wait for B&H to have these in so I could get him to bring one back with him. However, I called B&H yesterday and they told me Sony have put them back to July 15th earliest to get them in (and that's on pre-order)

Then I saw this on the CVP website for this product (in FAQ section): "According to Sony these will be shipping from their facility on June 4th 2012, so stock should arrive with us on 6th June for subsequent delivery to our customers from 7th June."

In other words, they can actually be purchased. Sony NEX-FS700EK (NEXFS700EK) 4K Ready Super 35mm Camcorder with Lens

If this is true, I'm calling them first thing Monday!!

Just to give a follow up reply to this.

I did call CVP on Monday. As I expected, the pre-orders are currently being fulfilled and they say Sony told them fibs about delivery early June. Surprises me as CVP are usually cautious about such claims.

CVP's preorder book is full now, apparently they're only allowing new pre-orders to be made by purchasing the camera outright in advance!

So this nonsense caused me to preorder mine from Preston's who they say will be receiving first batch at the end of June.

Incidentally, B&H (New York) have moved their date back to 15th July, even though its still advertised at 1st July on their site.

I'd expect these cameras to role into U.S. and EU countries very soon. They are already available in Japan.

I now amend the previous statement ... the FS 700 is now on back order at Fujiya-avic in Tokyo! Hum ... does this mean they have delivered their quota and await new arrivals?
