fs700 top handle cold shoe
 

Hi does anyone know were i can buy a cold shoe mount for my FS700 i want to mount it to the rear of the top handle Zacuto do one but unfortunatly all four small holes do'nt line up its very slightly to long i can manage with it for the time being its only held on with two screws instead of four. Thanks Wilf

Don't really understand your question, but what I think you are saying is that you have used up the 2 cold shoes that come pre-mounted to the FS700 top handle, and you'd like to add one more to the 3rd set of holes at the back of the handle. And that you have one from Zacuto, but the holes don't line up.

1) Dremel (or any mini-drill) with a small diameter bit, and some care should allow you to make 2 holes in exactly the right place on the Zacuto shoe you have. This would be my first choice.

2) Have you tried calling Sony Service and telling them you lost one cold shoe and would like to purchase a replacement? This is probably a long shot, but who knows...?

The Z5U / Z5E comes with an extra, unmounted cold shoe in the box, so maybe you know someone with that camera?

I'm using a FS700 EVF Bracket from Westside AV on my top handle and added their heavy duty cold shoe adapters...
I'm sure they can sell you the parts you need.

I ordered about 10 cold shoe mounts for inspection about 6 months ago. I'm a manufacturer (and shooter)
and wanted to see what was out there.

I liked 2 out of the 10- Ikan makes one
b&h part IKELECS 19.95

the other was part CA142 same price "cam cam caddie cold shoe"
