Color noise on FS700 footage

I took my FS700 down to Point Lobos to shoot some landscape footage. I was disappointed to see a lot of color noise, especially in the blue skies. The noise is redish purple.

Any recommendations on software to remove this noise?

I tried Neat Video and the noise was reduced, but the clouds were too soft. I wonder if there is better software or are there adjustments in Neat Video to reduce color noise without so much softening?

It's not normal to get lots of noise from an FS700 unless your using large amounts of gain. I'm surprised you have a problem in the first place. NeatVideo is one of the best.

Further to Alister's comment, the gain on the FS100/700 to MY eye at least almost approximates classic film grain - a reasonably aesthetically pleasing scatter almost completely devoid of chroma noise/moire.

Seems odd.

I'd love to see a screenshot of the the redish purple noise. I've had problems with magenta circular noise patterns when filming underwater and it sounds very similar to what you describe.

We always set the gain to 0db and the ISO to 500, which is the base ISO.

I wonder if the toggle switch on the side of the camera got bumped while shooting this footage to the high gain setting?

Are the camera settings recorded with the footage? If they are, how do we find them?
