Sony HDR-CX190: do you know it?
 

Hi, a friend of mine give me a Sony HDR-CX190. Can I mix some clips with Sony AX2000 clips?
Is its video very bad and cannot mix those clips?

Ciao Adriano, depends on what the clips look like, give it a shot. At the very least you might have to colour correct them to get a better match.

But different camera persons have different ideas, good luck.

I agree with Allan and say you should give it a shot. That will tell you more than we can.

I can say only that there is no simple answer your question except "it depends. . . ."

The mix might be fine. Or not. Hard to say without knowing something about what you want to do, what kinds of videos you want to make, what your finished product will be, and how you deliver it (DVD? Blu-ray? web video?)?

There has been a lot of discussion of pairing CX cams with the AX/NX cams and even with the EX1 althugh much of that discussion has been directed at higher models in the CX line, such as the CX 500, 550, 700, 730 or 760. Last winter, there was a very long thread in the event forum about shooting a dance recital with some CX cams including a CX160. Try a search and see if those discussions help you get a better handle on what you want to know.

On the plus side, both are Sony, so the colors should be similar, and you'll really have to try a couple sample shoots to know how well they intermix... can't hurt to try, and I suspect you'll probably find it will work in a lot of situations, but whether it works for you, a little testing should tell the tale!
