New PDX10 owner

I've been checking out the dvinfo forums for a couple of weeks now.

Was set on getting VX2000 but stumbled on the PDX10 at the local pro shop. Wasn't sure about the camera until I read the many posts here. I'm quite excited about this camera. I tried to make a decision based on my needs and requirements rather than getting the "best" camera. I discovered that every camera has its pros and cons.

Besides the camera, I also picked up:

Manfrotto 503 head and 755b sticks
NP-QM91D battery (the big one)
Century Optics .5X Wide Angle lens (was deciding between Century and Kenko @ half the price)

I'm still reeling from the cost of this purchase. However, I realize that this is a night and day move from my 1 chip camera setup.

Thanks for all the great info. I will continue to lurk....

I can't recall if the PDX10 has the same 37mm thread size as the TRV950. If this is the case, check out the Tiffen (37mm) wide angle adaptor. Enjoy you new cam!

Yep, 37mm on the PDX-10 Frank.

Congratulations on the new camera Daniel. Seems like the PDX-10 is finally starting to catch on. I continue to be pleased with mine :-)

Ditto I am pleased with my PDX10 and I am still reeling from the cost. 3 chips are $$$ but the output is NIGHT and DAY compared to a single chip cam.
