They're (Almost) Here! -- VX2100

Now shown on Sony America site. No accessory wide angle included.

Bryan Beasleigh November 11th, 2003 07:21 AM

The HG Wide Angle lens is shown as a $400 (list) option.
It's a threaded mount as well.

I'd rather go witha century for the same money or an Optex for $300. They both have a bayonet mount and they're also .65 rather than .7.

Might as well go with the canon WD58 (.7) for less than half the cost.

They say VX being released in USA December 12th. Wonder when
the PD will be out.

VX2100 for sale at Sonystyle.com

MiniDV page shows both 2100 and 2000 models selling for $2999. Of course, the VX2100's at the top of the page, so people aren't likely to scroll down and see the 2000. Give me a break. Something's gotta give. Sony needs to knock a few hundred off the 2100 and double that deduction on the 2000.

The street price will be below those prices. I know of a guy on another board who is suppose to be receiving his 2100 in today.
I'm on the B&H list to be notified when they get them in.

Onecall has them in stock (at least they say they do) for $2487.61 shipped. There is a coupon code "Bonus03" that will knock an additional $70 off. If you sign up for their Onecall club or whatever its called you can get an additional 1% off. Bringing the grand total to $2393.44 delivered which is what I think I'm going to get today. The coupon code expires today (12/3/03) for the $70 off

That's where the guy on the other board got his.

Don't trust Onecall.com or do you prefer to do business with bh? I think onecall's price right now is going to be tough to beat

Have you had a bad experience with Onecall? Like I said, I've been on B&H' list to be notified when the cams are in. Well, I was just at B&H site and the cams are now listed as "In Stock". (Never did receive that notification from them.)
Here's the VX2100 price folks, hot off the wire: $2495.
VX2000 is $2295.
