Sorry people, but guess what l spoke to soon. The hum is there, l found that the only way to really pick it up is to be in a dead quiet room and also to have the wind protection on in the menu, as with most of the complaints the hum seems to very depending on the angle and position of the LCD. But l must be honest in that l knew there was a good chance this was going to happen and as much as it is a pain that l have to travel about 3 1/2 hours to go too and back too the service centre so as long as the salesman is true to his word at least l know the problem will be fix.

On a positive note l will say that the zoom speed control on the handle is great and also the audio setup in regards to my VX2000, l do like the sharper B/W veiwfinder, but l think it will take a little bit of practise to get use to translating the B/W image in my head to color as such without using the LCD, and last of all l got a Miller Solo DV 10 tripod and it's unreal a very smooth operator l must say.
