Playing Pal/SECAM MiniDV tape on a NTSC Camera

In another forum appears the info that a NTSC VX-2000 camera can play without problems (except the framerate I guess) MiniDV tapes previously recorded in PAL (or SECAM?) system...

Can someone here to test that?.... Any commentary about?

There are only consumer/prosumer NTSC and PAL camcorders, so there is no SECAM miniDV.

Federico,

The higher end Sony NTSC palmcorders and camcorders will playback PAL footage. I don't know if they will record but they will definately playback as long as you have a multistandard TV.
