Difference between PD170 and PD190 at DVinfo.net

Is there any practical difference between the PD170 and the PD190? In China, they only sell the PD190, and everyone here I've talked to says it's the same as the PD170. I'd like to make sure. Anyone know anything about it? And where can I find a user manual in English?

I have never heard of the PD190, perhaps its only being sold in China and is really a 170 with a different model number?

That's what I'm trying to confirm. The Sony store guys here in Beijing tell me it's the same as the 170, but given a new model number because it's manufactured in Shanghai. I wanted to double check with some independent production gurus like yourself to make sure.

I think Don said it all. First we've heard of it. I think you are going to have to compare their datasheets with the U.S datasheet to know. Strange.
