Does the VX2000/VX2100 have a closable lens cap?

I saw a picture where it showed the lens having its own closing sliding cap, but not sure if this is true. Could have been just my eyes. Can anyone verify this? That's really cool if they had a closable lens seal. I wish the other camcorders like the GL2 had one.. :)

That's pretty neat. Wish I had it. Can't protect enough of the lens!

I mean... is the cap auto insert, like you have to manually put it on? From the VX2100 picture, it seems like its internal, so the camera itself must have a mechanism or a button that closes the cap?

It is part of the lens hood. It operates by a lever or a button IIRC.
