How to mount the CAC-12?

Hello!

I just got the new camera, and was wondering how to attach the CAC-12 mic mount onto the camera.

There are 2 screws from the orignal mic holder; the CAC-12 seems to fit there. however, it seems to be ill-supported, with about half of its width over-hanging, being supported by nothing.

Is this the right way to attach the holder? Should I be concerned about putting in a rubber shim to relieve the stress on the screws?

Thanks for any advice on this matter.

If you're talking about mounting to the 150/170 camera then yes, it just hangs over a bit. Never a problem on either of my 150's with ME66's in the holders and in and out of bags all the time.
