back light need solution

Hi everybody

First time for everything,,, I end up having 10 minutes of of over exposed video because i forgot the "back light" button on( sony vx2100)!
What is the best way to fix it on edit? I use either adobe, vegas, or storm2.
It seems that playing with the "contrast" or brightness" does not help much. The background is,,,,white!

Thanks in advance!

Anthony

You didn't see this happening in the viewfinder Anthony? The outlook is not good I'm afraid as unlike underexposure, your information has been lost forever, and there will be little that you can do to disguise the fact.

You can always lumakey the footage onto something that will make a better background. Sometimes this will help.

When I have no choice about blowing out a background, I will take a properly exposed shot of the background just so I can lumakey it into the 'real' footage.

Use the ZEBRA on-site to make sure what you see in the LCD is indeed what is being captured.
