Shooting a feature on the Sony PD100A

I'm shooting my first film on the Sony PD100A. Just wondering if any of you guys had any pointers as to the best mac based 24p conversion (pre-edit), if i should shoot 4:3 and matte for final ratio or shoot in camera electronic 16:9, etc.

Basicly the best technical choices when shooting. I doubt i will have the means to transfer to 16 or 35mm prints but i might be able to afford an HDCAM master.

I'm shooting with the NTSC model by the way. I know lots of people that shoot features on interlaced equipment use PAL, but i could not find a PAL model so i went with NTSC.

Thanks :)
