explain functions?
hi can somebody explain the functions on the dsr cam, because i am using it this weekend, i am familiar with some functions but not all
can somebody explain, how gen lock in and out works? and what it is used for? Thanks Guys |

DSR-500 manual and Gen Lock
Ollie,
The manual is available on line. Page 66 discusses Gen Lock (used for syncing time code between cameras). http://www.sony.ca/dvcam/manuals/DSR-500WSL-500WSPL.pdf Here's a Wikipedia entry on the general concept. I have the John Fauer book with a chapter on the DSR-500, but I haven't had my hands on one in years. Carl
