"beep" sound since reset to default?

Hello all, since I reset my VX2100 to default settings, I get an occasional "beep" (almost like that sound of a watch when using as a stopwatch) during recording. I have turned the "beep" off in the settings, and my noise is not when starting to record, it seems to be whenever it feels like it. I am using a Beachtek XLR adapter, a shotgun mic and wireless lav mic. I must be missing something since it only started after i reset to default settings. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions? Thanks all.
