EX1 Firmware 1.11 Clip/Update Media function

EX1 Firmware 1.11 Clip/Update Media function.

If you have the EX1 with Firmware 1.11 you'll see a new function listed in the Menu under Clip. It's Update Media. There's no mention of it any EX1 documentation that I've found by Sony.

It is listed in the EX3 manual though.

Execute/Cancel
Select Execute to update the managerial file on the SxS memory card in the selected slot.1)

1)If clips cannot be played back, updating the managerial file on the card may improve the condition.

Hmm, normally if there's an issue with the clip one gets "restore media." I wonder how this differs other than that it's operator initiated.

I'd assume Sony would be updating the EX1 manual (at least the PDF) to reflect changes resulting from the firmware upgrade.
