"Performance: Read up to 18MB/s, Write up to 8MB/s (8GB~32GB)"

Concerned about it Read/Write speed
Performance: Read up to 18MB/s, Write up to 8MB/s (8GB~32GB)

Newegg shows a FileMate ExpressCard
Sequential Access - Read: 115MB/s
Sequential Access - Write: 65MB/s

I wonder if this is any better.

Transcend is mentioning compliance with USB 2.0. This seems to indicate that they use the USB bus in their card. Sony SxS uses the PCIe bus in theirs, giving them much faster speeds.

I just called Transcend and they said these cards are the same as the 16gb that has been proven not to work with the EX series.

Are you using the 16GB SDHC cards, or the 16GB Expresscards?

You're sure you mean a 16gb Express34 card and not a 16gb SDHC card in a compatible reader? If so, that's the first time I've ever heard of that working. What's your secret?

I thought the discussion was about the pure Express Cards, not the SDHC + Express Card adapter combination.

SDHC cards in the adapters work.

SSD cards do not work.
