I use the HD component and HD-SDI out. They are identical on my monitors.
I have 5 HD monitors I use a JVC DT-V20L3DU, A 7"marshall and a number of consumer Plasma and LCD's. Th JVC is really accurate and there is no perceptual difference 24p, PAL, 60i it displays all formats. I can A/B component and SDI they are identical. If you have a monitor that converts 1080 to 720 or something else it may introduce artifacts. Take your camera to a real 1080 pro evaluation monitor and do a/b comparisons. If the results are not like mine, Then there is something wrong with your cable or camera. Have the dealer you bought camera from do this. This is when it helps to buy from a brick and mortar dealer not a website. I hope this helps. |

Dave Morrison was bad enough, now I have to get grief for buying over the internet from you too? ;-)
Great advice, I'll have to find a pro eval monitor and try both inputs. It would be great if just a new cable, or even sending the camera in for service, would solve the problem. Thanks, Olof.
