PMW-350 Remaining card time problem
Finally decided to move into the 2/3 inch world, and took delivery of a PMW-350K on Monday....very excited ! Very impressed thus far, however, i've got a problem which has got me stumped.....
I'm using the Mead-SD01 adaptor and a Sandisk 32GB Extreme Pro Class 10 SDHC card. On first use this card displayed 140 minutes of available record time (1920x1080). After shooting 20 minutes of footage, I copied the clips using the XDCAM software and formatted the card (in the camera) but although it's empty, the remaining time shows up as 120 minutes. I then shot a further 15 minutes of footage, transferred the clips in the XDCAM software, formatted the card again in the 350......however, it now shows as 105 minutes available even though it should read 140 minutes. Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong ? |

Re: PMW-350 Remaining card time problem
Shooting at 35Mbps a 32GB SXS card gives me 109 minutes. I haven't used that adapter though but my MxM adapter also gives 109 min with a 32 GB SD card.

Re: PMW-350 Remaining card time problem
Thanks Mike, shortly after posting I realised that at 35mbps 105 mins was possible on this card, and it now returns to this after formatting. Slightly odd it originally counted down from 140 even in the HQ 1920 format, i've got another card on order so will see if this does the same.
