This lens has never been tested on HD Cameras. It was originally designed for the Canon XL1 camera many moons ago. According to my lens designers, it should be ok but we are not certain through testing.

This is the info on your web site:
"The .7X Wide Angle Adapter has a 77mm thread screw in mount, it is a non zoom attachment. When attached to the lens front it offers a significantly wider angle of view with minimal distortion. Increases your lens field of view by 30%. Works great on all cameras with a 77mm front filter thread or smaller.

Requires 0FA-6277-00 adapter ring to with the Sony HVR-V1U/HDR-FX7."

So you are basically saying that you sell this lens for the V1U and FX7, but you havent tried it yet?

That sounds very professional!

Herminio,

What I said was that we have yet thoroughly test this lens on the FX7/V1U. This is a clearance lens and not part of our regular inventory hence the lower price and availability. This lens was designed long before the FX7/V1U was available on the market and therefore we have not taken the time to test it on a lens projector. We offer the adapter ring as a possibility to attach it to the camera. It has been attached to the camera and had premilinary testing on a video monitor and therefore we felt comfortable putting it on the website as a possibility for constomers with more limited budgets. It is up to you to decide if this is a value to you or not. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee and stand behind all of our products sold. If you wish to purchase a lens that is specifically designed for the FX7/V1U, we offer the most complete line of professional accessory optics available on the market today. All are available for viewing on our website linked below.

I hope this answers your questions and sorry for the confusion.
