This was shot at night at Bryant Park in New York City.

Details:

Ice skating shots:
1920x1080p30 HQ (except the 2 scenes after the carousel scene which are 1080i)
+3db gain, Auto Focus, Auto WB

Carousel:
+6db or +9db (don't remember exactly)

All shots hand-held.


Workflow:
- Import MXF into Vegas
- 1080p30 Timeline (the 1080i footage was deinterlaced using 'interpolate' in the Vegas project setting)

- Render as Main Concept MPEG-2 (bryant_park_30Mbs.m2t)
- Render as Main Concept AVC (bryant_park_15Mbs_AVC.mp4)
- Export uncompressed, encode as WMV using TMPGenc Xpress 4.0
(I've tried rendering the WMV directly from Vegas but the file won't play in my Playstation 3).

No post-processing for the M2T file, and just a minor levels adjustment for the MP4 and WMV.

I tested all 3 files and they all play fine using Power DVD 7.3 and also on a Playstation 3.

Wow, talk about some nice clean, crisp footage.
