first ex1 shoot

I got my EX1 this week and headed right out to my friend's work to try it out. I shot 1080p24 for the most part if I remember correctly. All available lighting and no idea whatsoever what we were doing. I really like this camera!

Hi Beatrice Eldon, thank you for your kind words. I had my friend hooked up with a sennheiser lav but I haven't been able to get clean audio on that thing for a long time. I reset it over and over again and use pro cell batteries but I still must be doing something wrong. Most of the audio is just an me66 shotgun mounted on the cam.

Nice short. Great video clarity. What h.264 encoding settings did you use to create this movie file?

That camera does shoot some nice footage. Great little clip.

What editing s/w did you use to put that together?

I would never have said that the DOP didn't know what they were doing in that short, there's some lovely camera movement and the shots are very well composed. I especially like the shot when the subject sits down by the fire and the camera moves in to the chair before he gets there. How did you get such steady shots?

really nice work

Paul.

Great stuff all the way around. I love the main kid - he has a real quirky ease about him. Nice job.

That was pretty poor everything. The whole thing just didn't work. The image looks great though!
