EX1 surfing footage

It's warm and sunny here In Florida so I have been capturing some surfing and kitesurfing footage. Here is a quick clip from yesterday. Shot in 720/60p. I wanted to test the ability to do some slo mo in post with this FR. I will post some in camera slo mo later.

Sweet! Beautiful footage, great colors

Enjoyed the musical selection, too... good stuff. We don't get that color water up here by Jax :)

Awesome colors and great footage. No suits in January, I am completely jealous. Hope those 2 guys on the last shot were friends. A move like that up here would get you a fat lip. Not by me of course....being the non violent sort and all that.

Nice!!!

Couldn't have come at a better time either!!!

I just got back from the bank getting my equipment loan started so I can go ahead and order my EX1 next week!!!

The colors are fantastic!

Can't wait to see the slo-mo footage! 720p60 should allow for some nice smooth slo-mo!

Thx Charles!

PS. I'm coming to Juno now! I have to come film some of this for myself!!!

Guess I will need to call the Charles D Hotline to find out when the surf is good like that!!! What a Beautiful place to shoot!!

Thanks for the feedback!

Carl, I grew on the Westside of Jax so i know what you are talking about. The water down here can get so beautiful and the EX1 does a great job of portraying it. This was straight from the camera with PP settings from this forum. No color correction in post. I have been testing the EX1 by working on collecting footage for a short doc. about the surfing history of The Juno Pier.

Kev, the kitesurfing was a mile up the beach in Jupiter. I am editng a DVD of this past weekends Jupiter Kite Invasion. I shot a combo of EX1 and A1U. Shot SQ 60i to see how they match up on a timeline. But the progressive formats are so nice. I am trying to see the best way to match the A1u for water footage and EX1 progressive for land shots.

Mick, I try not to call my friends in Long Island to gloat about January surfing conditions. When it's flat and hot here and they are surfing fun waves off Montauk they don't tell me.

Andrew, the guy with the housing was shooting video so we are going to share some footage for a 2 camera edit.

Brad, this area is pretty good when the swell direction is north. Anything east or south and the Bahamas get in the way.

I have been playing with 720p and overcranking to 60fps and it is beautiful.

I went to check out the footage, but the site says the video has been removed.

Is this posted anywhere else? I'd really like to see it.
