Clarification on Storing Pic Profiles

This information may be buried somewhere in this forum, but I'd love to hear the answers to two questions stated clearly.

1. How to we transfer Profile settings supplied by others here so that they become available to the EX1 PP buttons, and how do we assign a particular set of settings to a particular button?

2. I have 2 x 8Gb cards and 1 x 16 Gb card. Do I have to have the same PP information on all cards so that PPs stay constant when changing cards?

Thanks for any clarification.

Bill - thanks, that's helped - so we have to store some settings first to get the folder established. Sorry, but some supplementary questions:

a) If we open a .suf file in a text editor, is it best to delete all but the PP data before copying it to the folder?

b) Having copied this, is it easy to assign a particular PP set to a chosen button?

c) Do we have to repeat this for each SxS card?

thanks
Peter

Peter...

The EX1 loads the profile, .sup file, only when you choose the "load" command. Otherwise everything is saved in the camera memory.

The .suf file, I assume, is a contiguous file that needs to appear to the camera in this specific format. If you tinker with the file, when you're done, it had better look unchanged to the cam. If you want to replace a specific PP file, do it by deleting and replacing one profile set, in its entirety. No such thing as making the file show just one profile. PP1 thru PP6 appear in order in the .suf file. So, to assign a particular profile to PPx, place it as the xth profile in the set.
