Profile settings to be saved

I have not ordered my Camera yet hopefully later this week. Just wanted some clarification as I have read the manual and reviews. I shot an event over the weekend with a friends HVX200 and I loved the scene setting feature which made it very fast to switch back and forth between two saved scenes one was set up with 720 24p 1000fps shutter and the other was 720 60p slow mo 1000fps. I was loving this and could not wait for the EX1. Now from what I have read and in the manual and in a magazine review at this time you can not save your shutter speed and record format to a scene or profile on the EX1 ....This is a shame as this was a huge time saver...If I am missing something or a work around can someone chime in. I sure hope they can add these with a firmware upgrade.

Anyone have any input? Any work around for saving record settings and shutterspeed?

Steven Thomas March 10th, 2008 08:41 PM

None.
It only takes seconds to switch.

Thanks Steven, that is reassuring that it is very quick to change. I have not had a chance to have a hands on with the camera yet.

The DV magazine article is wrong. I'm guessing that's the magazine article you're referring to. You can save the entire camera settings to SxS including the 6 picture profiles. You can back up the folder to your hard drive (or whatever), load the settings into another camera, email the settings to someone, etc.
