Microphone Mount Replacement

I think I have seen a couple pics of homemade mic mounts to replace the stock one, but are there any for sale now. Mine just broke while filming a 900 person pillow fight in downtown Boston. Luckily that was all that broke. Saw many bloody noses.

Thanks,
BE

Broke mine yesterday just putting the camera back into the bag!

But it has been getting looser and looser over the last month or so1

Terrible design!

I will hopefully post an edit in the next day or two. Unfortunately not all girls in pjs. Apparently today was International Pillow Fight Day with fights staged in several cities all over the world. It was part of one of these "flash mob" things. It was odd, but interesting.

Hi there - Sony's own CAC-12 mic mount fits onto the EX fine - you have to elongate the screw holes slightly and use longer screws but you'll end up with a secure fully adjustable swivel mount. These mounts were originally used on the BVW & DXC series BetaSP cameras but I've fitted them to PD170's and V1P's since them. I think the Sony part No. is 3-750-734-11.
I can post some pics if you like.

Cheers Mal

If you have a pic of the setup that'd be great. Thanks.
