help vegas 7 and mp4
 

i just got this camera ex1 yesterday...did some shooting,,,uploaded some video clip to my computer then open vegas 7 for editting but everytime i click on the file mp4.........it say file could not open....is there a way to get it to work..or do i have to upgrade to vegas 8 or pro 8......thank you....

Vegas will not read the mp4 files, period.

You need to use the clip browser to rewrap them to mxf. From there I've been using V8 Pro. V7 might handle the mxf, I can't say for certain it will not.

you don't havet to upgrade to Vegas 8, Vegas 7 will do fine, just export clips as mxf using sony clip browser, I use 8 pro ans 7B no problem,
