EX-1 Runs Warm. Normal?

I've noticed after shooting for around an hour or so that my EX-1 feels warm in the area of the body around the SXS slots. No problems associated with this, just curious to know if others are experiencing this as well.
Typical shoots with the EX-1 so far have not exceeded a couple of hours in duration. This weekend I have an all day event to document and will find out how that turns out temp-wise for a long duration shoot.
To exasperate the situation I will be shooting firefighters, putting out fires at a fire college, on a hot Alabama 90 degree day!

Thanks.

The warmth is normal. Don't cover the ventilation slots; can cause over-heating.

And always take the battery off the camera before putting it into a case/bag. As we've had happen more than once a camera has been put away into a Pelican case turned on. They do get pretty toasty. So far no real harm done so I think I can say if you can still bear to touch it, it'll keep working. More than I can say for the Z1 which can blow a fuse requiring a trip to hospital to fix.
