Handing footage over to Avid editor?

I am shooting something tomorrow for The History Channel and the editors are using Avid. I use FCP, and have yet to deliver XDCAM EX footage for Avid, but am wondering what the steps are for that. Do I still use Clip Browser?

Thanks,
Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,
You have to export the files (via Clip Browser) to mxf.

Thanks. I assume its fairly self-explanatory, yes?

Export from the sxs card using the sony clip browser. Then import into Avid bin in whatever flavor of resolution you need.

Windows Clip Browser exports to MXF. Mac Clip Browser does not.

If they can't handle the BPAV folder you can import into FCP with XDCAM Transfer Tool and then use the Export function (forgot the exact name) which will then convert the .mov files to .mxf files.
