Sony PHU-60K slow and quick motion

Hello, i have read in the latest XDCAM-EX family bronchure that the Sony PHU-60K does not support slow and quick motion modes. Can anyone explane me why?

It may be that it can't handle the much higher data rate needed when shooting x/60 for slow motion. Just a guess here but given that it otherwise uses SxS port it's the only thing I can think of.

So I'm assuming that you could record all of your normal speed video to the PHU-60K in slot B for example, and then just switch to slot A for a SXS card recording of slow and quick motion.
