I'm considering an EX1 purchase. I'm not certain about the workflow when combining HDV footage shot with Z1U & EX video. Is anyone combining footage in Final Cut timeline having issues? Do I need to convert my EX footage to HDV first? Is this a big deal or is it pretty much straight forward with Final Cut? Your input please!!

You can actually shoot HDV with the EX1. It will give you 79 mins on a 16 GB. That is 1080/50 i PAL. I haven`t tried combining the two formats however.

I use Final Cut Pro 6.0.4.
