Backup to flash stick in the field?

Just bought a 16 GB USB stick and wondered if you can use these for backup. I don't have the male?/female? to mini USB cable to try it out but maybe one of you has...

What's the point ?
If you do the firmware upgrade then you can record to flash straight away in the first place.

I think for most of us EX users, the problem of offload in the field is over.

Paul.

I'd like to have two copies right after the shoot so I can take one and my partner the other one. That way we have instant backup plus we both have access to the same footage.

What about doing an SDHC-SDHC dub in camera?

It does beg a thought - is there any chance of recording to both A and B slots simultaneously? If not, it would be a very useful feature for Sony to add.

Of course! If I RTFM I would have thought of that myself...

Regarding copying from slot A to slot B, i've done it but can only manage to copy 1 clip at a time.
Is there a way to copy all the clips at once from A to B ?

Paul.

Doesn't make sense to leave out that option, does it? Sony, if you're reading/listening- the option to copy one card to the other shouldn't be too hard to include in the next firmware?
