Bag for: EX1 on rails with 35mm adapter assembly?

Sometimes I need to transport EX1 on rails with 35mm adapter (Letus Extreme in my case, with long lens and follow-focus attached).

Locally - say, move to another location, carry it on the street, in the car, etc.

Can't break it down every single time it needs to be moved.

What reinforced/padded bag (or hard case) can be used for transporting the assembly? The rig measures about 22 x 10 x 14"

If you can wait a couple of days I can give you a firm answer. We're receiving our new camera (EX3/Letus Ultimate/Nikon lenses/Red Rock Matte Box) and we purchased a Kata MCC-2A bag for it. It's one of the largest one's they offer. I looked at Porta-Brace too, but because they have a "notch" for the viewfinder, I didn't think our viewfinder would like up correctly.

Here's a thread you can look at while you wait:

EX1 Box

Hello. I need an EX1 box, specifically just the inside compartment cartons. If you still have yours and can spare it, can you help me out? I will pay for shipping and some compensation? Thanks.

Emmanuel

Mitchell, thanks for the reference!

Kata bag: dimensions look just fine, but it doesn't have wheels, and price is a bit high, it seems.

I agonized over whether to get a bag vs case, and finally decided on the hard case - to ensure the rig can be safely transported anywhere.

So I bought this Hardigg 2720 case - which is just like Pelican 1620.

I should receive and test it in a few days, fingers crossed :)

You can by what Kata calls "Insertrolley" and add wheels to the case.

Nice. I didn't want a hard case as they are so heavy. Plus, I've used Porta-Brace soft cases for 20 years now, so making the switch to a hard case is a big change for me. :)

I hope you're happy with your purchase. Let me know how it works out.

I actually own (and very much like!) this Petrol camera bag for EX1. Fits tons of accessories as well.

But won't fit EX1 + LEX on rails. It also refuses to wash dishes :)
